What is Can Dostun?
Can Dostun is a community-driven platform for free pet adoption listings. Sales are not allowed; the safety team reviews every listing and report.
Is there a difference between the mobile app and the web?
You can browse and apply for listings on the web. The mobile app adds chat, reminders, push notifications, and story tools. Download it free from the App Store or Google Play.
Is in-app chat secure?
Yes. Our chat infrastructure keeps personal information hidden unless you share it. If something feels suspicious, use the report button inside the conversation.
Do I have to pay to publish a listing?
No. Can Dostun is completely free. Operating costs are covered through donations and volunteer support. You can also contribute by donating or joining the volunteer team.
How do I create listing stories?
When uploading photos and a video, toggle “Show as story.” On mobile you can reorder frames and choose the cover from the story editor.
What should I do if a listing looks suspicious?
Use the report button on the listing page and share details. Our moderators review reports within 24 hours and suspend the listing if needed.
How does the Pet Calendar work?
In the mobile app open Pet Calendar, add vaccine, medication, or care events, and set recurring reminders with sound alerts so you never miss a dose.
What can the Can AI assistant help with?
Can provides quick, vetted answers and suggestions about training, nutrition, health, and adoption workflows—all rooted in expert-reviewed guidance.
How do I track my donations?
If you donate, a “Donations” tab appears under your profile. There you can see one-time contributions, active subscriptions, and receipts.
How long do listing approvals take?
Most listings are approved within three hours. If an exception occurs you’ll receive a notification explaining what needs to be changed.
